Chicas gaiteras launch “Cariño” videoclip 2024 and concert at Paseo Herencia

Last night at Caribbean Cinemas, the music video launch of “Cariño” by Chicas Gaiteras took place. After 32 years, they have created a new version of the song, inviting 20 soloists to interpret it. The performance also featured the Chicas Gaiteras choir, with special guests including the Melange Choir under the direction of Maybelinne Arends Croes and the youth choir of the Fatima Church of Dakota.

This song was written by composer Marion Maduro, who was inspired by a family issue in the neighborhood at the time. Through this piece, she aims to illustrate that neither money nor luxury brings true happiness, but rather affection does. The recording was handled by Ivan Quandus of IQ MusicLab Recording, while the video production was directed by Emanuell Smith of Ambiance. The producer of this masterpiece is Gilmar Croes.
