Ralph Godet, also known as “Mighty Jaoul,” began his musical journey in 1988 with his debut song, “Dutch Coro,” on the island of St. Eustatius. In 1989, he earned first place in Soca and second place in Calypso during a competition in Aruba. Over the years, Mighty Jaoul made a name for himself in the Caribbean music scene, excelling in Calypso and Soca and obtaining various awards along the way. Some of his most recognized songs include “Dutch Coro,” “Who’s Your Friend,” “Hands Up,””Smartfone,” “For Your Child I Singing,” “Old Mask,” “Rags & Flags,” and much more. “Smartfone,” “For Your Child I Singing,” “Old Mask,” “Rags & Flags,” and much more. With over three decades of experience, Mighty Jaoul’s music blends traditional Caribbean rhythms with contemporary influences. His performances across multiple islands showcase his versatility and deep connection to his cultural roots. In 1990, Mighty Jaoul moved to St. Maarten, consistently reaching the grand finals of Calypso competitions and performing with numerous bands during carnival season. He also represented Aruba in major competitions in St. Maarten, Tortola, and St. Thomas. After Hurricane Luis in 1995, Mighty Jaoul returned to Aruba, where he continued to perform alongside the island’s biggest artists. Throughout his career, Mighty Jaoul has composed and arranged music for many young artists, helping shape the next generation of Calypsonians and Soca stars. His contributions to the Caribbean’s musical heritage are profound, ensuring that the vibrant rhythms of Soca and Calypso thrive for future generations.

Born and raised in Aruba, Carl Roosberg, aka Galloway, began singing at the age of 9. He earned two crowns during his youth and was involved with BMW Aruba and ATNG. Carl Roosberg founded the Recruitz Band and is currently a member of Tsunami Aruba, where he has won two Calypso crowns and one Soca crown. Pearl Dumfries (WATRA)

Introducing to you Pearl Dumfries also known for her artistic name WATRA meaning water in her mother’s tongue. She was born in Amsterdam, raised in Aruba and has Surinamese-Haitian roots. Next to her degree and passion in being a Social Pedagogical Worker; WATRA is a multilingual Vocalist, Songwriter and Composer. 
WATRA has always been surrounded by culturally rich environments. This inspired her to write multilingual lyrics at a young age. Growing up in a musical household melodies were overflowing as she creates accompanied by her guitar with R&B, Soul and Jazz influences. In her musical journey she has composed and recorded music. Her latest being two personal compositions for the documentary series The Blue Lizard Effect and her new single Unspoken. Also performing original work in various events and festivals such as The Bon Bini Festival Fort Zoutman, The Caribbean Sea Jazz Festival, Aruba’s Soul Beach Music Festival and many more. Participating as a teacher in the Summer Music & Performance camp(Aruba, 2021) has fueled her passion and purpose even more. Currently she is developing a songwriting program to empower a healthy and creative outlet within communities of Aruba.

Angela Croes ” Alma Gitana”

Angela Croes was born in Barcelona, Spain, and began her studies at the Conservatory. She traveled to South America, where she recorded her first LP, earning a Platinum record and a Gold Image award.
