Nicola Grigoriu was born in Bucharest, Romania, and from an early age showed exceptional talent for music. Between 1970 and 1972, he studied at the prestigious Liceo de Música Nr. 1, and later, from 1962 to 1974, he continued his education at the Conservatory of Music, where he graduated with summa cum laude honors.
